We are proud to highlight our twelve students who came to play their music during the Bowling Green Art Walk on Saturday, April 27th. We were in the BG Elementary and Middle School area for part of the afternoon, as students with teachers involved in the Wood-Ottawa County Music Teacher's Association were invited to play. This was a fun and relaxed environment for the kids to display their art-work at the piano. One of our students even made the video of the Sentinel-Tribune!
Invitations have been mailed, plans are being made, points are being totaled, and students are memorizing their pieces! We look forward to having you join us at our 5th Annual Awards and Spring Recitals. Feel free to invite friends, family, grandparents, teachers, anyone who would enjoy hearing quality music and celebrating another year of accomplishment in music - they are all welcome!
Friday, May 10th at 7:00 pm the Awards Ceremony and Top Ten Recital will begin at St. Mark's Lutheran Church (sanctuary). This is a studio-wide event where we highlight each student's accomplishments throughout the year. Prelude music will begin at 6:45 pm and be performed by top point-earners in our PIANO Points contest. Students will be notified of their involvement in this special evening the week of April 22nd. To conclude the evening we will honor our families with a special dessert reception in the Family Life Center.
Saturday, May 11th, we will hold our two Spring Recitals at St. Mark's, at 10:00 am and 11:15 am. All students will have an opportunity to share their music, whether it is at the Honors Recital on Friday night (Top Ten Students), or one of the Spring Recitals on Saturday. We are excited to celebrate with you!
The Bowling Green Art Walk is coming up on April 27th, and our students have been invited to provide background music for those walking around the middle school gallery area. The location will be at 244 S. Main Street (a currently un-rented business space).
Last year some of our students got to experience this event in the elementary school gallery. Click here for photos from last year's event. It is a laid back, informal setting but fun for the students to share their art through music. No need to memorize music, just come prepared to play. Students from the Studio Connection will be playing between 12:00-12:30, and 2:00-3:00 pm.
Here you will find the latest updates and announcements from the Studio Connection.
