We would like to welcome Kevin Cook (age 10) and Joseph Brunner (age 5) to our studio this month. We are very glad to have you as a part of The Studio Connection. Thank you to our current students for your kind words and recommendations of our teachers. Word of mouth is the best way for our studio to grow and we are currently teaching 62 students every week.
Most snow days we will still have piano lessons. If students and parents are uncomfortable driving in the snow, or feel it would be dangerous to venture out, please call the studio as soon as possible to let us know. We will schedule make-up lessons in these cases. If teachers cancel lessons, we will contact you personally to make you aware. However, the school call is made in the morning and by the afternoon when lessons begin the roads are much better. So today we are still holding lessons - we need to be as prepared as possible for our Pre-Festival Recital!
This week is an Enrichment week and our students will be coming for their group classes today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday). Often the students ask when we will have our next group class. I think they enjoy being together and playing their music for each other! We have some fun activities planned dealing with musicals - becoming more aware of the popular musicals over the years, listening to main themes from these musicals the students have selected to represent the genre, hearing reports from research the students have done, and even learning basic choreography to one of the songs from Oklahoma! Miss Angie does a great presentation for the students and we enjoy hearing their ideas and thoughts they bring to the group. Check back for pictures of the students in action at the end of this week!
Here you will find the latest updates and announcements from the Studio Connection.
