Angie Blank
Angie began her musical studies at the age of 7, when her mother made her take piano lessons and practice daily. She’s now been playing for 23 years, and teaching private lessons for 12. Angie received her Bachelor’s degree in Music from The University of Akron in 2003. Her primary instrument was piano, and she enjoyed studying under such accomplished pianists as Dr. Mayumi Kikuchi, and Mr. Philip Thompson. In 2005, Angie received her Master’s degree in Music Education, also from the University of Akron. It was during this time that she began her vocal studies, taking voice lessons from Denise Milner-Howell, and participating in The University of Akron Chamber Choir and Concert Choir. She has been a member of the Ohio Music Educators Association, and Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honorary Society. Currently, she is an active member of The Ohio Federation of Music Teachers, and the Camerata Music Club.
After graduating, Angie married fellow music teacher, Tony Blank. She spent three years teaching elementary music at Lake and Walbridge Elementary Schools, until Tony and Angie had their first child, Anthony Blank Jr. Angie currently stays home with Anthony (now 3), and her second son, Alexander (1). She also enjoys teaching private piano lessons at The Studio Connection.
