Welcome to the Studio Connection!
|
The Studio Connection is a piano studio in Bowling Green, Ohio, run by two area teachers who are committed to promoting and developing a love of music within the local community. Thank you for visiting our website! This is one of our ways of keeping parents and students informed of studio happenings and relevant musical events within the greater Toledo area. We welcome prospective students to browse around and learn more about The Studio Connection and our piano instructors. At our site you can find past studio newsletters, pictures from recitals and Enrichment Sessions, and links to fascinating piano websites, online music games and composition workshops. We welcome any comments or suggestions as you look around. Enjoy! We Are SO Proud of Our Students! The Awards Night and Spring Recitals were a huge success thanks to the wonderful performances of our students! We had a great turnout on Friday, May 18 for the Awards Night and Top Ten Recital. Be sure to look at more pictures from the evening here. We also have the group pictures of performers from Saturday, May 19 posted. If there is a specific picture you would like, please e-mail Miss Susan and she will gladly send it to you. The video Miss Kelsey put together of our students' comments from this year was a lot of fun, so if you didn't get to see it yet, be sure to watch it (pictured on right)!

Summer Session Information
Plans for summer piano lessons are coming together, so if you haven't made arrangements with your teacher, do so quickly! Just think about the progress you could make during those two months without the demands of school activities. Most students have more time to practice in
the summer and continue to gain proficiency when lessons are continued without the two month break. Summer lessons are also a great way to start planning piano pieces for next year and getting ideas for Festival.
A summer without lessons means a summer without practice. Very few students sit down to play when they don’t have accountability with their teacher. Without practice, students fail to maintain their skills; in fact, their technical skills regress! When fall comes, that means the initial weeks of lessons are spent in review to get back to pre-summer skill level. Continuing lessons and establishing a strong practice routine is especially helpful for younger students who have just begun their piano study.
We offer a flexible schedule for busy families. Lessons are conducted during the day and evening throughout the summer. The online registration allows you to select the best schedule for your active summer. Registration times will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be sure to submit your requests as soon as possible. Click here for more specific information about dates and rates, or look for the flyers posted in the studio. There will be a one-week break between the end of the school year and the beginning of the summer schedule, then a two week break before the 2012-2013 school year begins in August.

Spring Means Piano Maintenance Time!
Now is a great time to schedule a tuning for you piano, or to see if it needs any maintenance done. Click here to learn more about Mr. John Bailey from the Piano Works in Pemberville. He was recently in tuning our pianos at the studio.
